Last week’s session proves the innate bi-polar nature of Denver’s weather doesn’t damper the joyful and adventurous spirit of its inhabitants. In the midst of Colorado’s surprise Spring snowstorms we awaited the perfect day to take this family’s Mountain Family Photos. Though the snow wasn’t in our perfect plan, this proves as another great example of how willingness is the most important key in getting great family photographs. One of the benefits about outdoor photo-shoots is that the unpredictability of the weather can make for some stunning images that we never could have planned for. These wintery-summer-like family photographs taken at Lookout Mountain are so unique and genuine. Can you believe the baby? He is near the top of my “most photogenic” list.
When planning for your family’s photo shoot you will notice that there are so many options as far as where to go. The Denver area features many great locations, from mountain tops to museums to an urban, downtown setting. I always recommend that families choose a place where they would actually go. In order to make the photos timeless, it’s most important that they show who you are. Being comfortable is a big part of that. To keep everyone as comfortable as possible, maybe we stay at your home or go to a favorite park down the road. Choosing a location that is natural to your family can be a great benefit…whether sun or snow.
