The photos of my family that are most significant to us are the ones that captures their spirit. The photos that remind me of what life was really like. They experiences, personality and emotion.

I could easily put my kids through an hour long portrait session, set up my best lights and grab the perfect portrait. But those pictures don’t hold a candle to the ones that have captured the essence of who they were. Authentic photos of my family are without a doubt a greatest treasure to help me remember. My goal is to do the same for you.

With over a decade of photography experience, Jackie’s photographic muse has always been the real emotion that comes from the deepest of relationships—a soon to be husband and wife, mother and son, father and daughter. These muses are enlivened by her own journey as a mother and wife.

She’s an opinionated introvert, a listener, an artist, a lover of paper and picture frames, a fan of Sufjan and Banksy, an ignorer of punctuation. She deeply cares about her craft and that your photos are a treasure for life.

Capture life as you know it.

Let’s be honest. Most of the time, your toddler dresses in her own eclectic outfits. You probably missed a smear of pb&j on one chubby cheek. Your living room isn’t perfectly styled. There’s a pretty good collection of vagabond legos and orphaned socks lurking under your couch. And most importantly, your kids aren’t still for even a second—they’re jumping, running, shouting, asking, laughing, crying.

Life with kids is constant motion and a bit messy. And that’s ok. In fact, it’s beautiful.

Your kids are constantly learning, growing, and changing. Not a day passes for them without some sweet musings and life-changing realizations. Not a day passes without some pouts and struggles. But also, no day passes without poignant conversations and adoring hugs.

Jackie’s photojournalism captures it all. With her camera and subtle skill of staying in the background, she creates images of movement and expression. These photos leap beyond the two dimensional—one glance, and you can hear the infectious laughter and smell the grass stains. She documents the honest representation of your life, because you love it all. Besides, the most meaningful moments are a bit messy too.
